From Albert Dock to the heart of Liverpool
The award-winning museum will move from Royal Albert Dock to the former St Johns Market site across from Liverpool Lime Street station. At approximately 100,000 square feet, the new space will be more than four times the size of the present attraction. Apple Corps plans to take over the museum’s operation in 2027 before the move.
The Cavern, Abbey Road and Shea Stadium brought to life
Visitors will follow the journey of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, from post-war Liverpool through Hamburg and Beatlemania to global success. Immersive recreations of The Cavern, Abbey Road, Shea Stadium and Savile Row will be combined with original objects and sets connected to the band’s forthcoming films.
A Yellow Submarine above the city
A separate Yellow Submarine-themed viewing experience is also planned for St Johns Beacon, offering sweeping views of Liverpool. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr welcomed the plans. Part of the ticket income is intended to help support emerging Liverpool artists. The experience is scheduled for 2028 and has not yet opened.
From Oldies Radyo
Few bands changed popular music as profoundly as The Beatles. Their recordings travelled around the globe, but the locations that shaped them remain an important part of the story. The new attraction aims to make that musical geography tangible for another generation.
