DJ Mete Buyuran is the voice behind Oldies Radyo and a lifelong music obsessive with a special love for the sounds of the 1950s through the 1990s.
His radio journey began in 2001 at Radyo Aktif and continued at Radyo Mavi, where he also worked as Foreign Music Director and presented Longplay. Over the years, music remained the constant: radio, events, OldiesTurkiye gatherings, Elvis Presley fandom and a growing archive of stories from the golden decades of popular music.
After returning to radio with Runonair in 2023–2024, he founded Oldies Radyo in 2024 as an independent home for timeless songs, music history and carefully curated listening.
For Mete, oldies are not background music. They are living stories — and the best ones still sound great today.
