Foo Fighters began as Dave Grohl’s post-Nirvana studio project and quickly grew into one of the decade’s most successful new rock bands.
From solo project to band
Grohl recorded much of the 1995 debut himself before forming a touring group around the material, establishing a sound built on melodic hooks, loud guitars and energetic drumming.
The Colour and the Shape
The 1997 album gave the band a stronger identity through songs such as “Everlong,” “Monkey Wrench” and “My Hero.”
